Walking In This World

Round and round we go full circle from sunrise to sunset as we walk throughout our world knowing that each moment has the power to shock and thrill like a wild roller coaster ride. Walking In This World is a book I highly recommend because meandering minds ponder and dream. And, with the right measure of structure and strategy, our ideas results in productive accomplishments.

Walk With Me: Santa Monica, California

Walk With Me: Santa Monica, CaliforniaMillions have explored Santa Monica, California, and enjoyed its unique treasures. Each of these individuals have selected images and sensations they will remember forever. Regardless of whether you have ever been to this enchanting coastal city, what would catch your eye if you followed in my footsteps? What would captivate and hold you spell bound causing you to to say, “Wow! Look at that.”, as you strolled along the seaside and city streets?

These questions bounced around my mind creating a desire to be accompanied by another. Therefore, I asked a close friend if her charming daughter would like to explore Santa Monica with me. I wanted to be inspired by what intrigued her active young mind knowing that it would not be her first visit to this slice of Southern California.

As you scroll down to enjoy the photographs and captions think about the stories within the picture. Also, what would your camera lens capture? Would it be sea foam and pelicans? Maybe you’d rather leave your camera behind to engage in the activity of body surfing, dining, or shopping. No matter, if Santa Monica holds a special place in your heart, such as performing on the Santa Monica Promenade, be sure to share the memorable moments that linger long in your heart.

Engulfed in concrete and capitalism.

Engulfed by concrete and capitalism, this striking plant life thrives

reminding me of a crowded city’s populace marching on behalf

of their favorite charity or for liberty and justice for all.

While I reflected on my favorite quotation, To Fly You Must Be Free, by Li Cunxin,

the author of Mao’s Last Dancer, my young companion was captivated

by the trapeze students practicing on the Santa Monica Pier. The

location is quite fitting as Cirque Du Soleil erects their tent.

The reconstruction of the Santa Monica Pier is a reminder of how easy it is to change

a bad habit into a good one, how exciting it is to strategize and complete

goals, and how rewarding it is to continually strive with purpose,

maximizing individual potential, to empower one another.

Like a gentle waterfall, stairs cascade into the unknown as curious minds and adventurous

hearts dare to take a step and follow after, eager to learn what lays beyond like hidden treasure.

Dinosaurs roam carefree in the imagination of every child doing wondrous things like

spewing water into a pond where little girls become mermaids covered in jewels and

little boys mount humpback whales to travel from ocean to sea around the world.

Do I dare look any closer, trespassing, to sate my curiosity and engage in conversation

with an impish Wood Nymph hoping she’ll invite me into her secret realm?
